Job summary

The St. Paul Grill is seeking a part-time Service Assistant in Saint Paul, MN to support front-of-house operations including setting and clearing tables, delivering food, and assisting bar staff during busy shifts.

Requirements include 6 months to 1 year in a high-volume restaurant, availability to work nights and weekends, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. This role participates in opening/closing duties and offers a path within Morrissey Hospitality.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1-year related experience in a high-volume, high energy, food and beverage environment.
• Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• The employee must move up to 30 pounds frequently.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Assists guests and servers in a timely and professional manner.
• Cleans and polishes glassware, flatware, and equipment.
• Removes dirty items from tables, sets tables, assembles roll wraps, fills water glasses, and transports food to guests.
• Supports bar staff with clearing, restocking ice, glassware, liquor, beer, wine and paper supplies.
• Transports dirty dishes/glassware from dining room to kitchen and/or bar.
• Assembles, fills, and delivers to go orders when necessary.
• Ensures cleanliness and organization of work areas; stocks supplies and completes setup/breakdown duties.
