Job summary

The Union League of Philadelphia is seeking a Busser/Server Assistant to support our serving staff at Union League Liberty Hill in Lafayette Hill, PA. You will help set up and break down dining areas and assist with serving plates, glasses and silverware while ensuring guest comfort.

Responsibilities include preparing dining areas, setting tables, refilling beverages, clearing courses, and helping with food running.

Qualifications

• Experience as a busser or food runner in fine dining is a plus.
• Knowledge of hygiene and food safety rules.
• Able to lift 25 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be flexible to work holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining areas before guests are seated.
• Set tables with silverware, napkins and glassware.
• Serve water and bread baskets; refill beverages.
• Clear courses and reset tables after guests leave.
• Maintain health and safety in kitchen and dining areas.

Job Title: Busser/Server Assistant

Reports to: Dining Room Managers

Department: Grays and Marquis

Location: Union League Liberty Hill (800 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444)

Description: We are looking for a busser/server assistant to support our serving staff and set up/break down our dining area. Server assistant responsibilities include serving plates, glasses, and silverware, refilling beverages and clearing/resetting tables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
• Set tables with silverware, napkins and glassware with attention to detail
• Serve water and bread baskets; refill waters and empty glassware
• Clear courses when guests are finished
• Assist with food running when needed; clean and reset tables after guests leave
• Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
• Perform light cleaning duties

Skills And Requirements

• Experience as a Busser, Food Runner or other entry-level role in a fine dining restaurant is a plus
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
• Physical ability and stamina to carry trays bus tubs and stand for long hours
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• ServSafe and RAMPS/ TIPS certified
• Flexible schedule, including mandatory holidays
