Job summary

The Union League of Philadelphia is hosting a Busser/Server Assistant position at Union League Liberty Hill in Lafayette Hill, PA. You will support our serving staff by setting up, clearing and resetting dining areas and assisting with food running as needed.

Ideal candidates have entry-level fine dining experience, a solid understanding of hygiene and food safety, physical stamina to lift and carry trays, and the ability to multitask calmly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Busser, Food Runner or other entry-level role in a fine dining restaurant is a plus.
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
• Physical ability and stamina to carry trays, bus tubs and stand for long hours.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
• Set tables with silverware, napkins and glassware with attention to detail
• Serve water and bread baskets; refill waters and empty glassware
• Clear courses when guests are finished
• Assist with food running when needed; clean and reset tables after guests leave
• Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas

Description:

We are looking for a busser/server assistant to support our serving staff and set up/break down our dining area. Server assistant responsibilities include serving plates, glasses, and silverware, refilling beverages and clearing/resetting tables.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
• Set tables with silverware, napkins and glassware with attention to detail
• Serve water and bread baskets; refill waters and empty glassware
• Clear courses when guests are finished
• Assist with food running when needed; clean and reset tables after guests leave
• Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas

Skills and Requirements:

• Experience as a Busser, Food Runner or other entry-level role in a fine dining restaurant is a plus
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules
• Physical ability and stamina to carry trays bus tubs and stand for long hours
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• ServSafe and RAMPS/ TIPS certified
