Job summary

Over Easy in Peoria, IL, seeks a friendly Busser to maintain a clean, welcoming dining area and support the service team from guest seating to departure.

You will clear tables, remove dishes, assist with food delivery during peak times, and help keep restrooms, floors and dining spaces spotless while upholding safety and hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred but not required.
• Must maintain a valid Food Handlers’ certification.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Efficient and detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Remove plates/glassware that guests no longer need.
• Take tableware to dish area and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.
• Assist dishwasher by removing remaining food into appropriate waste bin and maintaining a clean dishwashing station.
• Clean and clear tables between seatings, promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths, check floor and clean as required.
• Inspect assigned restroom every 30 minutes and clean as needed.
• Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.

The Position Specifics

The Busser plays an essential role in creating a clean, welcoming environment for every guest at Over Easy. By keeping tables cleared, dining areas spotless, and supporting the service team, Bussers help ensure each guest enjoys a smooth and comfortable dining experience from the moment they sit down to the moment they leave. The responsibilities of this position include:
