Job Summary
Bussers support other team members by cleaning and resetting tables, ensuring the availability of flatware and plates, and bringing guest needs to the attention of the server team. They restock necessary items such as napkins and straws, may assist with washing dishes, and maintain strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepares dining room for customers by cleaning and setting tables; setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
- Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
- Ensures all sanitation and cleaning protocols are followed while cleaning and resetting tables.
- Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean, replacing damaged or soiled pages, and updating chalkboards.
- Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and attending to patron spills or special needs.
- Supports server team by setting up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers, liners, and bus stations.
- Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables, sweeping or vacuuming floors, and removing trash and recyclables.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
- Accepts ownership of new requests and seeks opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Applies company’s cleaning and sanitation guidelines and policies.

Position Requirements
- Listening, presentation, verbal communication, customer focus, teamwork, and action‑oriented skills.
- Work experience as a busser, food runner, or other entry‑level role in a restaurant is a plus.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
- Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast‑paced environment.
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Observant, thorough, responsible and punctual.
- Objective of meeting physical and scheduling demands of the position.
