Position: Busser

Reports to: General Manager

The Restaurant Busser is responsible for providing support to the waitstaff and ensuring a clean and welcoming dining environment. This role includes clearing tables, resetting tables, and assisting with general restaurant cleanliness to enhance the dining experience for guests.

Key Performance Elements/Essential Functions

Table Clearing and Resetting:

• Clear tables of dirty dishes, glasses, silverware, and linens once guests have finished their meals.
• Reset tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware for the next guests.
• Ensure tables are properly arranged and set according to the restaurant's standards.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including floors, chairs, and service stations.
• Empty and clean trash containers regularly.
• Clean and restock restrooms as needed to ensure a pleasant experience for guests.

Support Duties:

• Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for special events.
• Restock service stations with essential supplies, including napkins, condiments, and utensils.
• Perform side work duties as assigned by the manager, such as polishing glassware and silverware.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with servers, hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members to provide seamless service.
• Assist with other tasks as needed to support the overall operation of the restaurant.

Minimum Requirements:

• Exude a high level of hospitality to our guests – smile and have a great time!
• Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy items (up to 25 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
