Job Summary

The Busser is responsible for cleaning and resetting tables in a professional and effective manner, supporting servers and service staff with refills and clearing tables, providing guests with bread and beverage service, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas of the restaurant.

Essential Job Functions

1. Consistently offers professional, engaging, and friendly service.
2. Sets up and stocks the assigned work area by following established fine dining service standards and procedures; helps servers inspect stations for proper setup and appearance.
3. Maintains table settings by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, and refilling water glasses.
4. Clears and resets tables within established standard timings and guidelines.
5. Assists in serving coffee, tea, water, bread, butter, and other food and beverages.
6. Assists servers with all aspects of service while maintaining a professional work area.
7. Cleans service stations, fills ice bins, and restocks storage and fridge items according to established par levels.
8. Completes all side duties as assigned.
9. Assists with setup and breakdown of dining room facilities, retrieves china, silver, glassware, and stewarding items, polishes, and stores equipment as designated.
10. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or GED.

Required Experience

Physical Requirements

Regularly standing for extended periods, twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling objects, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 40 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Conditions
