Job Summary

The Busser, Runner, or Service Assistant is responsible for restaurant dine-in and takeout operations, cleaning, running food, bussing tables, and side work. They will assist with catering orders, including delivery when applicable. All Team Members must demonstrate customer service expertise by providing an exceptional guest experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Guide guests through their experience while taking, placing, and reviewing orders for takeout and catering.
• Understand the restaurant menu to identify different menu items for takeout and catering, guide guests on menu choices, and answer questions.
• Review orders with the guest (at pick-up or delivery) and/or with delivery drivers to ensure accuracy.
• Deliver hospitality by anticipating, delivering, and exceeding guest expectations.
• Clear, clean, and sanitize tables, bussing dishes to the dishwasher station, and reset tables as needed. Remove bus tubs from the bar to the dishwasher.
• Restock, clean, and maintain all restaurant stations.
• Understand restaurant seating layout and how to deliver food within the restaurant.
• Serve food or beverages for dine-in and takeout.

Job Requirements

• No previous experience required; training provided.
• Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment including coffee machines, iced tea machines, lemon slicers, POS systems, and others.
• Follow sanitation practices and safety procedures.
• Possess or obtain a current Food Handlers Card if applicable.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment.
