Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation is hiring a Busperson for a part-time role at the Modern Tavern in Saint Charles. The Busperson will greet guests at their station, take beverage orders, clear and reset tables, and transport bus tubs to the kitchen.

This position emphasizes customer service, efficiency, and adherence to sanitation standards in a fast-paced casino dining environment. Applicants should be able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and have excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Prior restaurant industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests seated in assigned station.
• Receive and fulfill/refill drink orders from guests.
• Remove dishes from tables and place in bus tub (40 lbs).
• Set up tables according to established standards.
• Transport filled bus tubs to kitchen dishwashing area.
• Maintain cleanliness of side station and all work areas.
• Ensure the smooth and timely flow of orders from kitchen to guest.
• Check dishes for accuracy and presentation.
• Assist in final dish preparation.
• Maintain fast service.
• Uphold quality and sanitation standards.
• Complete side work as needed.

The BUSPERSON is responsible for:

Clean tables by removing soiled dishes, silverware, glassware, and refuse and wiping tabletop and seats. Set up tables according to established standards. Receive and fulfill beverage orders.

• Greet guests seated in assigned station.
• Receive and fulfill/refill drink orders from guests.
• Remove dishes from tables and place in plastic bus tub (approx. 40 lbs. in weight) in a timely manner.
• Set up tables according to established standards.
• Transport filled bus tubs to kitchen dishwashing area.
• Maintain cleanliness of side station and all work areas.
• Ensuring the smooth and timely flow of orders from Kitchento the Guest.
• Checking dishes for accuracy and presentation.
