Job summary

The Launch Partnership, LLC seeks a dynamic writer/editor in Austin, TX to join our content team. You will craft newsletters and in-depth analyses on AI, startups, and venture rounds, communicating complex ideas clearly and engaging readers.

You will research markets, explain business models, and translate data into compelling posts for This Week in AI and related newsletters. Ideal candidates have 3–7 years in journalism or tech finance, published work on startups or AI, and strong storytelling

Qualifications

• Experience with newsletters or digital content is a plus.
• Samples of published work on startups, venture, AI, tech, and markets.

Responsibilities

• Write posts for TWiST, This Week in AI, and This Week in VC newsletters.
• Deep research and analysis.
• Explain what companies do, how they make money, who backed them, and why it matters.
• Investigate markets, companies, and founders and produce briefs for the content team.
• Test and review new AI products and assess hype vs. reality.
• Turn podcast episodes and interviews into compelling newsletter posts.
• Track performance and inform formats and future series.

What you will do:

Write posts for the TWiST, This Week in AI, and This Week in VC newsletters

Deep research and analysis

Take readers inside funding rounds: what the company does, how it makes money, who backed it, why it matters

Investigate markets, companies, and founders and produce briefs that all of LAUNCH's content team can utilize and learn from

Test and review new AI products, with an eye toward how they're pitched, what builders are saying, and if they live up to the hype

Turn podcast episodes, insider roundtables, and expert interviews into compelling newsletter posts

Track performance and use it to inform and improve our formats

Help to develop and test new series, spinoff newsletters, and editorial products

Experience:

3-7 years in journalism (particularly centered around business or technology), research, consulting, or finance.

Previous roles in newsletters or digital content are a plus.

Samples of published work on startups, venture, AI, tech, and markets.
