With 10+ years in business, tech, and financial journalism (or equity/VC research), you will set standards for accuracy and sourcing, shape newsletters, and mentor junior writers while exploring AI-assisted productivity tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in business, tech, and financial journalism OR equity, VC research, or analyst roles
• A portfolio of published work on startups, venture, tech, and markets
• Ideally, you have managed and edited other writers, or launched/grew a newsletter

Responsibilities

• Write posts for the TWiST, This Week in AI, and This Week in VC newsletters
• Deep research and analysis on companies, funding rounds, market, AI products, investment offices, and VC firms
• Set editorial standards for accuracy, sourcing, clarity, and voice
• Edit and mentor junior writers
• Shape newsletter strategy, including formats, distribution, Best Practices, and growth
• Lead launches of spinoff newsletters (This Week in Robotics, This Week in Energy, etc.)
• Work with the media team to turn podcast content into newsletter copy and vice versa
• Build AI-assisted systems to increase the team's productivity
