Job summary

Cummins Inc. in York, SC seeks a Business Unit Supervisor - 2nd Shift to lead 100% onsite manufacturing operations. You will build teams, drive SQDCP performance, and promote safety, quality and continuous improvement while coordinating with maintenance, engineering and support functions.

You will develop talent, delegate responsively, and ensure resources are available to meet performance targets, fostering an inclusive, accountable culture.

• Shift details: 100% onsite; 2pm–10:20pm, Mon-Fri with weekends as needed.

We are looking for a talentedBusiness Unit Supervisor - 2nd Shift to join our team specializing inManufacturing for our CDBS (Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems) location at York, SC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Production Leadership: Successfully drive SQDCP performance by meeting safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people objectives while maintaining efficient daily operations.

• Team Development & Accountability: Lead, coach, and motivate hourly employees by fostering engagement, managing performance expectations, and building a positive, accountable team culture.

• Operational Problem Solving: Monitor production performance in real time, quickly address downtime or bottlenecks, and collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and support teams to minimize disruptions.

• Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Champion a safety-first environment, ensure adherence to policies and 5S standards, and leverage production data and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and drive operational excellence.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university or equivalent degree required, or equivalent experience required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Supervisory experience preferred.

Shift Hours: 100 % Onsite position. Hours are 2pm-10:20 pm Mon-Fri and weekends as needed.
