Job summary

Freudenberg Group seeks a seasoned manufacturing leader to oversee daily operations within a business unit in the United States. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals while coaching Group Leaders and frontline teams to strengthen leadership across the organization.

The role requires extensive experience in Lean manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering continuous improvements, safety, and employee development in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience leading supervisors, team leads, Group Leaders, or front-line manufacturing teams.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and manufacturing metrics.
• Experience in safety, quality, delivery, productivity initiatives.
• Experience with employee development, coaching, and discipline processes.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of daily manufacturing operations within a business unit to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Develop, coach, and mentor Group Leaders and production employees while building leadership capability across the organization.
• Drive operational performance through key manufacturing metrics including safety, labor productivity, OEE, scrap reduction, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leading Lean manufacturing initiatives, problem-solving activities, and process improvements.
• Manage employee relations activities including performance management, payroll approvals, and vacation scheduling.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve business performance.
• Ensure a safe, engaged, and high-performing work environment that promotes accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of daily manufacturing operations within a business unit to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Develop, coach, and mentor Group Leaders and production employees while building leadership capability across the organization.
• Drive operational performance through effective management of key manufacturing metrics including safety, labor productivity, OEE, scrap reduction, quality, and on-time delivery.

• Partner with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Human Resources to resolve issues and improve business performance.
• Ensure a safe, engaged, and high-performing work environment that promotes accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.
• Seven or more years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility in a production environment.
• Experience leading supervisors, team leads, Group Leaders, or front-line manufacturing teams.
• Proven success managing safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, problem-solving methodologies, and manufacturing performance metrics.
• Experience with employee development, coaching, performance management, and employee relations activities.
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.
