Position Summary: The Business Transformation Lead will identify, design, build, implement, and maintain small-scale business applications, workflow automations, and productivity solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, with a primary focus on Power Automate and related Microsoft 365 capabilities. This role will work directly with business teams to understand repetitive, manual, or inefficient processes and convert them into durable, supportable automation solutions that improve productivity, reduce manual effort, strengthen consistency, and enhance operational control.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Power Automate Solution Design and Build: Partner with business analysts and business stakeholders to identify and understand opportunities for efficiency. Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain Power Automate cloud flows, approval workflows, scheduled automations, and event-triggered processes that improve business efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Small Business Application Development: Build lightweight business apps and forms using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, SharePoint Lists, Dataverse where appropriate, and integrated Power Automate workflows.
- Solution Maintenance and Support: Monitor existing flows and apps, troubleshoot failures, manage updates, document changes, and ensure automations continue to operate effectively as source systems, business rules, or user needs change.
- Governance and Controls: Apply appropriate standards for naming conventions, documentation, permissions, error handling, auditability, data access, and lifecycle management for all Power Platform solutions.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and cloud platforms, to provide a unified view of business information.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve solutions.
- Power Platform Ambassador: Serve as an ambassador for colleagues who want to leverage Power Platform tools to solve business challenges, providing guidance on best practices and design.
- Transformation Strategy and Executive Communications: Work with executive leadership to identify, evaluate, and prioritize business transformation opportunities across the organization. Maintain a strategic backlog of automation, workflow, and business efficiency initiatives, assessing each opportunity based on expected business value, implementation effort, risk reduction, compliance benefits, and operational impact. Develop executive-level presentations, business cases, and cost-benefit analyses to secure sponsorship and funding for initiatives. Provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding project progress, realized savings, user adoption, and emerging opportunities for process improvement and digital enablement.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining Microsoft Power Automate flows, including automated, instant, and scheduled flows.
- Experience building lightweight business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint Lists, Microsoft Forms, Teams, and Power BI.
- Ability to analyze manual business processes and translate them into practical automation designs.
- Strong understanding of workflow logic, conditional branching, approvals, notifications, exception handling, and process documentation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools, including SharePoint Online, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and Purview.
- Ability to document solution designs, business rules, flow logic, dependencies, test results, and support procedures.
- Understanding of permissions, data access, security, and appropriate governance for low-code business solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support automations after deployment.
- Familiarity with Azure services, APIs, or enterprise data integration patterns
- Experience with AI-assisted productivity or development tools such as Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot
- Ability to communicate with non-technical business users and translate business needs into working solutions.
- Experience with code management platforms like GitHub.
Education/Experience:
- 6+ years working in business transformation, process improvement, business analysis, business architecture, operational excellence, digital transformation, or related disciplines., including hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Demonstrated experience identifying business process improvement opportunities and delivering measurable operational efficiencies through technology-enabled solutions.
- Experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously while balancing business priorities, resource constraints, and strategic objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or commensurate work experience required.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals preferred
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate preferred.

- Requires long periods of time on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
