Job summary

CBRE Investment Management seeks a Director to lead end-to-end strategic transformation initiatives, partnering with senior leaders to shape the agenda and embed lasting change across our global real assets platform.

You will own problem framing through execution, coach change leaders, and guide multiple workstreams with autonomy, aligning initiatives to the firm’s strategic objectives and delivering measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead transformation programmes end-to-end, owning problem framing, strategic direction, solution design, business readiness and adoption.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, scope, evaluate and prioritise strategic initiatives.
• Provide insight and rationale to support or challenge initiatives and shape a compelling vision for stakeholders.
• Align initiatives with Leadership and the Business Transformation Group to ensure cohesion with the overall strategy.
• Coach sponsors and senior leaders as change leaders through facilitation and influence.
• Build trusted relationships with senior executives and coach them as change leaders.
• Shape the strategic agenda with insight and analysis to create a future-state vision for key stakeholders.
• Run governance for programmes – steering, sponsor and ExCo reporting, and risk forums.
• Apply business architecture and systems thinking to frame options and manage risks.
• Own change management across programmes, including impact assessments, engagement, communications and adoption.
• Provide supervision and mentor team members within a project framework.
• Bring external perspective and market insight to inform our transformation agenda.

Aboutthe Role

The Business Transformation team, part of the Strategy & Transformationfunction and drives strategic transformation programmes across CBRE InvestmentManagement to improve business performance.

As a director, you will carry end-to-end accountability for these programmes and runthem with significant autonomy, owning everything from problem framing andsolution design through to execution and the adoption. You will partner withstakeholders including senior leaders to shape and challenge the agenda bringanalysis and external perspective that influence their thought-process, sharpentheir decisions and coach them to lead the change.

What You’ll Do

• Lead transformation programmesend-to-end, owning problem framing, strategic direction, solution design,business readiness and sustained adoption across multiple workstreams.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders toidentify, scope, evaluate and prioritise strategic initiatives.
• Provide insight, analysis andrationale to support or challenge initiatives, creating a strong vision for theoverall objective for key stakeholders.
• Align the objectives, benefits andoutcomes of initiatives with Leadership and the Business Transformation Groupto ensure cohesion and support of the overall business strategy.
• Support sponsors and senior leadersin their role as change leaders through coaching, facilitating and influencing.
• Build strong, trusted relationshipswith senior executives informing their decisions and coaching them and theirsponsors as change leaders in transformation and change management bestpractice.
• Shape and challenge the strategicagenda, providing the insight, analysis and rationale to support or challengeinitiatives and to create a compelling future-state vision for keystakeholders.
• Run the governance for programmes -steering committees, sponsor and ExCo reporting, and the decision and riskforums that keep delivery on track.
• Apply business architecture andsystems thinking principles to frame options, weigh trade-offs and recommendthe strongest solution, actively managing risk throughout.
• Own the change management approachacross programmes, including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement,communications, training and adoption.
• Provide informal supervision withina project-based framework and, where required, take on formal supervisoryresponsibilities.
• Mentor and coach team members tofurther develop their competencies.
• Bring external perspective andmarket insight to the firm, drawing on industry networks, events and researchto inform our transformation agenda.

What You’ll Need

• Minimum of 10 years’ relevantworking experience in investment management, real assets or a closely adjacentfinancial services environment, with the industry and institutional knowledgeto operate credibly alongside business SMEs
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Financeor Real Estate or equivalent professional experience; a practitionerqualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. PROSCI, CBAP, ACMP) is desirable
• Proven track record to build andsustain trusted relationships with senior executives, and to influence andcoach them as change leaders, an expert communicator who adapts acrossaudiences (ie. operational teams to C-suite)
• Strong track record of leadingcomplex, multi-workstream transformation programmes – spanning operating model design,process re-engineering, technology-enabled change and organizational design -end-to-end and with significant autonomy, delivering measurable businessoutcomes
• Strong understanding of operatingmodel design and strategic transformation, including organisational design,process architecture and capability development
• Able to influence and drive outcomeswithout formal authority, operating with resilience across competing prioritiesand ambiguity
• Proficient business acumen, withdeep industry and institutional knowledge of investment management andawareness of the wider commercial and competitive landscape
• Ability to embed credibly within abusiness team as a trusted partner while maintaining transformation disciplineand independence of perspective
• An understanding of AI capabilitiesand how to apply them to transformation work - where they add value inanalysis, design and delivery

CBRE Investment Management carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $185,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $200,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
