If you are motivated, experienced in business tax preparation, and possess excellent communication skills, we need you to assist customers in completing their taxes using TurboTax Business products.

The successful candidate will manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. A strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and significant experience in preparing and filing business and personal tax returns are essential.

What you'll bring

• At least 3 years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for a minimum of 20 clients per season using commercial tax software.
• Minimum of 2 tax seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 returns per year, preferred.
• Availability to work at least 20 hours per week across three or more days.
• Bookkeeping experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry clients is preferred.
• Must hold or be able to obtain relevant state licenses, permits, or bonds.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• Knowledge of Circular 230.
• Proficiency with technology and software.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally via video and audio tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, research skills, and determination.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to meet internet security requirements and reside in the U.S.

How you will lead

This is a virtual, customer-facing role using our advanced video communication software (Smartlook). Your responsibilities include:

• Assisting TurboTax Business customers with tax advice, full-service return preparation and signing, software inquiries, tax calculations, and filing extensions.
• Creating high-quality interactions that instill confidence through deep customer empathy and your tax expertise.
• Using government websites, professional resources, and team knowledge to provide accurate answers in accessible language.
• Applying company policies and procedures to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
• Documenting interactions and working towards company performance metrics and goals.
• Participating in pilot projects and validations as needed.
