If you are highly motivated with business tax preparation experience and excellent communication skills, we need you to assist our customers in completing their taxes using TurboTax Business products.

The successful candidate will manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. A strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and significant experience in preparing and filing business and personal tax returns are essential.

What you'll bring

• At least 3 years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for a minimum of 20 clients per season using commercial tax software.
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 returns per year, preferred.
• Availability to work at least 20 hours per week across three or more days.
• Bookkeeping experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with business tax returns for service industry clients is preferred.
• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) and ability to obtain any necessary state licenses or permits.
• Working knowledge of Circular 230.
• Proficiency with technology and software.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally via video and audio tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, research skills, and determination.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Reliable internet connection meeting security standards.
• Residency in the United States.

How you will lead

This is a virtual, customer-facing role utilizing our advanced video communication software (Smartlook) to assist customers with:

• Tax advice
• Full-service business return preparation and signing
• Product and software inquiries
• Tax calculations
• Filing tax extensions

Create high-quality customer interactions that foster confidence through deep empathy and your extensive knowledge in business tax preparation. Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to provide accurate answers in everyday language. Document interactions, work toward key performance metrics, participate in pilot projects, and contribute to company goals.
