Job summary

Northpointe is seeking a dual-function IT Specialist to provide first-line technical support across regional offices and to develop SQL queries, Power BI dashboards, and operational reports that inform decisions.

The role requires experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, SQL, and Power BI, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to travel regionally between Iron River, Kingsford, and Menominee, MI. A valid Driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• IT Help Desk & Desktop Support: Provide Level I technical support via telephone, ticketing systems, and in-person; troubleshoot workstations, laptops, mobile devices, printers, Microsoft 365, and network connectivity; deploy hardware/software; maintain asset inventories.
• Business Intelligence & Data Analytics: Write and maintain SQL queries; build and enhance Power BI dashboards and visualizations; gather business requirements from department heads to generate operational, management, and executive-level reports.
• Documentation, Security & Training: Maintain technical and reporting documentation; ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, data governance, and agency information security protocols; assist with new staff onboarding and end-user tech guidance.

Serve as a dual-function IT Specialist providing front-line technical support and business intelligence solutions across Northpointe's regional offices. This position acts as the primary point of contact for end-user technical support while collaborating with agency leadership to develop SQL queries, Power BI dashboards, and operational reports that drive data-informed decision-making.

• Work Sites: Serves office locations in Iron River, Kingsford, and Menominee, MI.
• Travel: Regional automobile travel between agency facilities and sites as required.

Requirements:

• Education: Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred (equivalent combination of education, training, and experience accepted).
• Licensure: Active, valid Driver’s License required.
• Technical Experience: Experience supporting Windows, Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive), and remote support tools; hands-on experience writing SQL queries, working with relational databases, and developing Power BI dashboards.
• Core Competencies & Physical Demands: Strong customer service and problem-solving skills; ability to translate technical data for non-technical audiences; ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and bend/reach/stoop to install or move hardware; ability to wear required PPE (N95/PAPR) if needed.
