How You’ll Make An Impact

The Business Systems Architect is responsible for designing and implementing optimized system solutions for designated Corporate Systems. This role serves as a partner to business units, translating operational needs into scalable, integrated system architectures. The Architect leads cross‑functional initiatives, ensures alignment with best practices, and drives continuous improvement through thoughtful design, configuration, and implementation of technology solutions. The position requires strong analytical skills, technical fluency in designated application, and the ability to guide stakeholders through complex system transformations.

This role owns the Oracle HCM solution and is responsible for the end‑to‑end design, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the Oracle HCM platform — spanning modules like Core HR, Payroll, Talent, and Benefits — while translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions. The Business Systems Architect serves as the single point of accountability between business leadership, IS leadership, and Oracle support, owning everything from system upgrades and integrations to security roles, data integrity, and roadmap prioritization.

What You’ll Do

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Requirement Analysis: Engage with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, plan changes accordingly, build strong relationships across departments, and communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Customer Service/Incident Response: Troubleshoot and resolve system issues within the business community; engage internal resource groups; address emergency and/or urgent issues promptly.
  • Change Management: Write and approve validation deliverables, validation strategy documentation, testing plans, and design documentation within software; assist business users with software change requests, including creation and execution of test scripts, establishment of training plans, and creation of user training documentation.
  • Project Management: Define, document, and manage project scopes, goals, priorities, deliverables, and timelines that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
