Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve WMS errors, data discrepancies, and integration failures between WMS and ERP/TMS/EDI systems.
• Monitor WMS performance and proactively resolve recurring issues affecting operations.
• Lead new system implementation projects, including warehouse launches and software setup.
• Configure workflows for receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping to map business requirements to WMS capabilities.

Warehouse Management System (WMS) Analyst / Systems Specialist

Location: Plano, TX, USA

Job Type: 12 + month contract to (hire + multi-extension capability) Rate: 46.50 /hr. W2

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical WMS Analyst / Systems Specialist to join our team in Plano, TX. In this role, you will serve as the primary subject matter expert and point of contact for our Warehouse Management System (WMS). You will be responsible for system performance, troubleshooting integration errors, configuring workflows, leading implementation projects, and ensuring seamless warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities

• System Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the primary point of contact to diagnose and resolve WMS errors, data discrepancies, and interface/integration failures between the WMS and other operational systems (ERP, TMS, EDI, RF/scanning hardware).
• System Monitoring & Optimization: Continuously monitor WMS performance to proactively identify and resolve recurring issues before they impact live warehouse operations.
• Project Leadership: Lead new system implementation projects, including new warehouse launches and software setup, collaborating closely with IT teams and external project managers.
• Workflow Configuration: Map business requirements directly to WMS capabilities by configuring standard workflows for receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Testing & Vendor Escalation: Diagnose complex configuration or integration errors, test software modifications/patches, and elevate high-level technical issues to IT departments or third-party software vendors.
• Operations Navigation: Systematically navigate WMS interfaces and modules to oversee inventory tracking, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving workflows.
• Training & SOP Development: Train warehouse staff and supervisors on WMS functionality and industry best practices; draft, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quick-reference guides.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of known system issues, technical workarounds, and step-by-step resolution logs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Project Management roles.
• System Proficiency: Demonstrated experience working with SAP, WMS, or similar enterprise business systems and/or sales order management applications.
• Environment Experience: Hands-on experience working in a warehouse environment, with a heavy emphasis on system analysis and operational support.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent quantitative and analytical capabilities with a strong focus on data accuracy and detail.
• Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues calmly and effectively under time constraints during live operational disruptions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Data Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data modeling).
• Industry Background: Experience in the High Tech, Telecommunications, or Consumer Electronics industry.
