Job SummaryThis position analyzes existing and new business processes to provide input toward the refinement, improvement, and creation of those processes. It also includes participation in various projects for the IT department related to the onboarding, offboarding, and changes of hardware, software, and various business systems. It requires the collection and analysis of various data sources to support the above activities.
Essential Functions30% - Routinely performs complex, highly visible, and sensitive research and analysis. Coordinating the resolution of various user and programmer problems, including escalations and customer concerns. Initiating system changes and upgrades where needed.
25% - Crucial involvement with complex projects, programs, or studies having significant college-wide impact and effect; provides input into critical decisions while exercising judgment about operational program components. Serving as a subject matter expert representing IT in cross-departmental discussions and projects.
20% - Coordinates the development of specifications and project documents for software, hardware, and business system enhancements. Composes, reviews, and finalizes original comprehensive and complex reports and technical documents.
15% - Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of present and proposed systems and databases. Provides technical assistance in the planning and implementation of computer information systems. Participating in or conducting end-user training as needed.
10% - Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology or related field with four (4) years of business systems analysis experience including business process design, business requirements definition, workflow documentation and acceptance testing. (Reference Position Specific Responsibilities above to determine experience in area of assignment).

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree, education, certification and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Desired Qualifications1. Experience working in a role directly responsible for project-related duties and/or project management certification (e.g. PfMP, PgMP). Preferably in an Information Technology environment.
2. Experience working with project management technology and methodology, including best practices for creating project schedules, tracking critical path items, and overall project status.
3. Experience collecting various data types for the production and analysis of associated reports.
4. Experience managing vendors & contracts associated with RFP, acquisition, and renewal of services for hardware, software, and business systems.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with project managers, program directors, and external stakeholders.
6. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively identify compliance risks and develop solutions.
7. Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation related to support, business processes, and end-user training, or similar activities using tools like Microsoft Office and Google Application Suites (Excel/Sheets with pivot tables & VLOOKUPs, Word/Docs, PowerPoint/Slides).
