Job Description

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst specializing in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to support healthcare business applications and improve processes related to patient registration, billing, claims processing, payment posting, and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver effective healthcare technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze revenue cycle workflows and identify operational improvement opportunities.
• Gather, document, and validate business and system requirements.
• Work with billing, coding, finance, patient access, and IT teams.
• Support system configuration, enhancements, testing, and implementation.
• Analyze claim denials, payment posting issues, and accounts receivable trends.
• Create functional specifications, process maps, and user documentation.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing and validate system changes.
• Investigate application issues and coordinate resolution with technical teams.
• Support data integrity, privacy, and applicable healthcare compliance requirements.
• Monitor key performance indicators related to billing and reimbursement.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of healthcare Revenue Cycle Management processes.
• Understanding of patient registration, medical billing, claims, and reimbursement.
• Experience with business requirements gathering and process mapping.
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel for data analysis is beneficial.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems such as Epic, Oracle Health, or comparable platforms is an advantage.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Experience with UAT, defect tracking, and functional documentation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
