Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT, eliciting and validating requirements to meet business needs. You will bridge customer needs with solution delivery, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategies and data-driven decision making.

You will lead discussions, document testable specs, analyze data, and help translate business value into actionable plans.

Qualifications

3 years of experience in Business Systems or equivalent.
Hands-on data analysis using SQL/Excel and reporting tools.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements.

Responsibilities

Own the requirements definition process with general supervision.
Elicit, analyze, specify and communicate business, system and implementation requirements.
Dig into data to understand the business problem.
Query, analyze and interpret data to validate assumptions and support recommendations.
Ensure requirements are unambiguous and understood by business users and delivery teams.
Prioritize requirements based on business value, risks and constraints.
Communicate conflicts to project leads and assist with resolution.
Maintain requirement traceability and changes across the project lifecycle.
Ensure test strategy and plans cover the requirements.
Assist in defect resolution and measure BA work quality.
Identify gaps, risks and opportunities and recommend options.
Collaborate with project leads to develop work plans and estimates.
