Job summary

UC San Diego’s RRSS Integrated Services team seeks a Business Systems Analyst to manage requirements, test plans, and implementation support for POS, logistics, and procure-to-pay systems. You will gather requirements from business owners, document processes, and drive improvements with data-driven insights.

Responsibilities include coordinating moderate projects, analyzing workflow, and ensuring alignment with organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a data/analytic or IT/business field and two years of admin analysis or operations research experience.
• General knowledge of business and process analysis functions and ability to report/advise management.
• Analytical skills to identify and organize processing requirements, data concepts and documentation.
• Experience in developing business and system requirements and designing process diagrams.
• Understanding of IT concepts and ability to understand integrated systems infrastructure.
• Experience leading projects of limited scope and managing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare business and functional requirements and test plans for new and existing applications.
• Provide implementation support and facilitate meetings to gather requirements from customers and business owners.
• Lead limited to moderate scope projects as needed and suggest data-driven improvements.
• Analyze processes and data to identify issues and opportunities for efficiency and customer experience improvements.
• Apply department policies; resolve business process problems using analytical methods.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff at multiple levels.
