Job summary

San Diego State University is seeking a Business Systems Analyst II to analyze business processes and support enterprise information systems in Student Affairs and Campus Diversity. You will translate needs into technology solutions, collaborate with campus partners, and help improve data integrity and services for students.

The role emphasizes governance, reporting, and training, with telecommuting options up to 1 day per week and a 1.0 time-base, benefits-eligible, temporary appointment

Qualifications

• Experience with querying tools (e.g., SQL, Oracle SQL Developer).
• Proficiency in writing complex queries using Query Manager in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
• Four years of complex system analysis and hands-on project coordination experience in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes and document functional requirements to improve operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and Enterprise Systems to identify enhancements and support process improvements.
• Document workflows, technical specifications, and system processes for implementation and operations.
• Participate in system testing, validate results, and assist with deployment of enterprise systems.
• Develop training and user guides for enterprise business systems and processes.
