Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business, Computer Science, Systems or related field (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years experience performing business analyst and/or systems analyst work.
• 2+ years IT project experience.
• Commercial banking, treasury management, and commercial lending knowledge, including products, processes, operations, and regulatory considerations.
• Business analysis and requirements management, including eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Critical thinking, problem solving, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders, developers, and leadership.
• Solution analysis and functional design, including evaluating business processes, data requirements, system impacts, and integration dependencies.
• SQL query development and data analysis for data validation, troubleshooting, testing, and solution design.
• XML Request/Response analysis, API integrations, and data mapping concepts.
• Ability to learn complex financial systems, products, and integrations quickly.
• Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document, and refine business requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria with product managers and stakeholders.
• Ensure requirements are complete, testable, and aligned with product strategy, objectives, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for commercial banking, lending, treasury management, and core system solutions.
• Develop and maintain understanding of product functionality, integrations, vendors, and industry trends to support recommendations.
• Facilitate requirements discovery sessions and solution discussions to identify needs and define solutions.
• Analyze impacts, dependencies, processes, data requirements, and operations to address problems.
• Review functional designs, XML/Request/Response structures, API specifications, and data mappings to support development and vendor integration.
• Create intermediate SQL queries to validate data, investigate issues, support testing, and verify outcomes.
• Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, test planning/execution, and validation of enhancements and production fixes.
• Provide operational and production support for assigned products and integrations.
• Analyze stakeholder issues, assess business impacts, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions.
• Maintain documentation including configuration guides, process docs, knowledge articles, testing artifacts, and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What you will do here:

The Business Systems Analyst II partners with product managers, business stakeholders, and development teams to analyze business needs and deliver solutions that support commercial banking, commercial lending, treasury management, and related financial services products in the Core system. This role serves as the bridge between business and technology, translating requirements into functional specifications, solution designs, and testable outcomes. This is a hybrid position based in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Business Systems Analyst II leverages strong commercial banking and lending expertise to evaluate processes, identify opportunities, and recommend solutions that align with product strategy and business objectives. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, analysis, testing support, and issue investigation. The position requires strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and ensure successful product delivery.

• Partners with product managers, business stakeholders, and development teams to elicit, analyze, document, and refine business requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensures requirements are complete, testable, and aligned with product strategy, business objectives, and regulatory requirements.
