North Carolina A&T State University is seeking a Business Systems Analyst I to bridge financial processes, data reporting, and system administration. The role focuses on provisioning access, security governance, and lifecycle management across core enterprise applications.
You will develop and schedule financial reports and dashboards using WebFOCUS, Power BI, and SQL while supporting data audit readiness and process improvements across the university's financial systems.
The Business Systems Analyst functions as the core technical and operational bridge between financial business processes, enterprise application administration, and business intelligence reporting. Serving as the primary operational administrator within the Finance Systems & Development Operations unit, the role oversees daily user access provisioning, role-based security governance, and account lifecycle management across core enterprise applications.
In tandem with security administration, the position drives divisional reporting operations by designing, modifying, executing, and scheduling recurring financial reports and operational dashboards utilizing WebFOCUS, Power BI, and SQL. Responsibilities further include troubleshooting application anomalies, maintaining report catalogs, supporting data audit readiness, participating in unit projects, and enhancing day-to-day workflow efficiency across institutional business systems using our available systems and resources.
The Division of Business and Finance, led by the Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance / Chief Financial Officer, stewards the university’s financial resources and provides the budget, accounting, treasury, procurement, facilities, human resources, public safety, and related services that sustain institutional operations. Within Business and Finance, this shared model provides centralized budget and financial management to the university’s schools and divisions through finance professionals who are embedded in the units they serve and accountable to the Vice Chancellor. This model delivers consistent financial practices, stronger internal controls, reliable continuity of service, and decision-useful analysis to Unit and Division leadership.
Operating under the auspices of the Division of Business and Finance, the Finance Systems and Development Operations unit serves as the financial systems backbone, architectural, and autonomous systems administrator for the division’s financial ecosystem. Structured across four strategic operational pillars—Core Systems Administration, Business Intelligence/Data Architecture, Process Automation/Digital Governance, and Security Compliance/Training—the unit provides dedicated support for platforms such as Ellucian Banner Finance, WebFOCUS, Power BI, and related enterprise financial systems. The unit drives institutional efficiency by engineering automated workflows, deploying KPI dashboards and business intelligence reporting, overseeing UNC System DataMart, administering role-based security access, participating in unit projects, maintaining the division’s web presence, and enhancing standard operating procedures.
