Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC in Leawood, KS, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to design and implement efficient business, financial, and operations systems. The role involves gathering data, defining requirements, and creating specifications to maximize IT investments.

You will lead requirements sessions, collaborate with stakeholders, and work with QA to ensure proper testing and successful deployment of new applications. This is an in-office role, five days a week.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in the fields of business administration, computer science, accounting, or MIS, and/or several years related work experience.
• Proven experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
• Demonstrated project management skills; PMP certification is a plus.
• Ability to translate business goals into clear system requirements and communicate them effectively.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and goals.
• Lead design sessions for prototyping new systems to enhance business processes and information flow.
• Plan, design, develop, and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing ones; maintain detailed project plans.
• Manage and track requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce changes as necessary.
• Provide orientation and training for implementers of modified and new systems.
• Create system models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to guide programmers.
• Write clear, concise requirements specifications using standard templates.
• Coordinate with QA to design test cases and verify the proper functioning of projects.
