Job summary

Ryan Specialty is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements and to develop system design specifications for new systems or enhancements.

The role conducts system audits, uses advanced analytics to identify opportunities for improving scalability and efficiency within IT, and helps lead disaster recovery and backup planning for critical systems and data. This position requires a 2+ year background in related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Administration.
• Minimum 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience in data analysis and SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Understand and document the business objectives of each project and identify the business needs that the system must meet.
• Analyze and understand the business’s systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement or automation.
• Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users.
• Collaborate with project managers and project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
• Conduct data analysis to support business decision making and business process improvement.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are implemented properly.
• Provide training and support to users and write user manuals as needed.
• Document requirements, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.
