Base pay range
$68.00/yr - $76.00/yr
STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India.
We are seeking a proactive, business-oriented Senior Business Systems Analyst who can operate confidently across strategy, delivery, and technical execution. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between IM and assigned business units, functioning as a strategic partner, trusted Business Analyst, and accountable delivery lead responsible for driving measurable outcomes.
This role blends product ownership, business systems analysis, and cross‑functional coordination, with a strong emphasis on translating complex business needs into actionable technical solutions. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will lead requirement refinement, manage a prioritized backlog, oversee delivery execution, and provide structured communication to IM leadership. The ideal candidate demonstrates executive presence, technical fluency, autonomy, and the ability to form trusted relationships within complex organizational environments, skills essential to any experienced Business Analyst or Analyst operating at an enterprise scale.
This is a 100% remote position, and we are preferably seeking candidates based in Southern California.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact between IM and assigned Division(s).
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and proactively identify business needs.
- Conduct regular check‑ins to review in‑flight work and emerging priorities.
- Maintain and refine a dynamic, prioritized backlog of requests.
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of key initiatives as Business Systems Analyst and Technical Product Owner.
- Coordinate triage and resolution of issues and ad‑hoc requests.
- Deliver timely updates to IM leadership through dashboards, status reports, and executive briefings.
- Translate evolving business needs into actionable short‑ and long‑term plans.
2. Project Management & Delivery Oversight
- Plan and execute initiatives using PMO frameworks and/or Agile methodologies.
- Manage timelines, dependencies, deliverables, and risks across the project lifecycle.
- Monitor scope, budget, and quality; elevate issues when needed.
- Provide transparent and consistent progress reporting.
3. Business Analysis & Requirements Definition
- Translate business challenges into clear, traceable functional and technical requirements.
- Facilitate interviews, discovery sessions, and process mapping.
- Define success criteria and support adoption planning.
- Ensure technical delivery aligns with business expectations.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Act as a conduit between stakeholders, developers, and executive leadership.
- Lead walkthroughs, demos, and working sessions to collect feedback and drive alignment.
- Communicate priorities and constraints effectively to diverse audiences.
- Manage vendor engagement throughout design, development, and implementation.
- Oversee vendor timelines, deliverables, and risks.
- Support software procurement, renewals, and contract reviews.
6. Governance & Risk Management
- Maintain RAID logs to support transparency and accountability.
- Participate in governance and change control processes.
- Identify and mitigate delivery risks and blockers.
Required Knowledge & Experience
- 10–15 years of progressive experience across product ownership, business analysis, and project delivery.
- Ability to work independently in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills with both business and technical teams.
- Experience resolving competing priorities and driving stakeholder alignment.
- Background in client‑facing or consulting roles preferred.
- Exceptional written communication skills, able to produce clear technical and executive‑level documentation.
- Business System Integrations experience.
Proficiency with
- MS Project, Smartsheet
- Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, and structured PMO frameworks.

Desired Skills, Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field (MBA a plus).
- Certifications preferred: PMP, CSPO, SAFe POPM, or equivalent.
- Experience with ITSM, enterprise system implementations, or change management frameworks.
- Consulting experience in public sector or large matrixed organizations strongly preferred.

The base range for this contract position is $68 - $76 / per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
