Job summary

Motor Coach Industries in Minnesota seeks a Project Coordinator to drive design, testing, documentation, training and rollout of customized business solutions for manufacturing, materials and quality teams. You will lead multiple projects through all lifecycle stages, ensure effective use of ERP tools, and engage stakeholders to define processes and scope.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, strong data and project management skills, and collaboration with staff and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education in a business or STEM field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years in a Manufacturing Operations environment.
• Thorough knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle).
• Experience in project or change management is an asset.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects including design, testing, documentation, training and implementation of customized business solutions.
• Identify and drive opportunities for process and system enhancements.
• Maintain understanding of business processes, data, and system functionalities.
• Lead multiple complex projects through development lifecycle: scope, timelines, requirements, testing, implementation.
• Assist staff with deploying and using business applications.
• Lead meetings with users, consultants, and SMEs to document processes and impact assessments.
• Lead acceptance testing to ensure functionality meets specifications.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the coordination of projects including the design, testing, documentation, training and implementation of customized business solutions to meet the requirements of the manufacturing, materials and quality teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Continuous Improvement: Identify and drive opportunities for process and system enhancements through regular reviews and assessments of current business workflows.
• Business Process Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of business and system processes, the associated data, and the system functionalities that enable efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Project Leadership: Manage and oversee multiple complex projects throughout the development lifecycle, including scope definition, timeline management, analysis support, requirements gathering, development coordination, testing, and implementation.
• Application Support: Assist staff in effectively utilizing deployed business applications.
• System Implementation and Maintenance: Assist with system implementation, maintenance, and support.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Organize and lead meetings and interviews with business users, external consultants, and subject matter experts to gather and document information for defining business processes, project scope, and impact assessments.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Lead acceptance testing for new systems and enhancements to ensure functionality meets detailed specifications.

• Travel: Up to 10%

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Post secondary education in a business or STEM field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
