Connexus Energy is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to bridge business needs with technology solutions in Ramsey, Minnesota. You will partner with stakeholders to analyze challenges, improve processes, and implement solutions that drive operational excellence.

You will lead technology projects, troubleshoot application issues, document processes, and collaborate with software vendors and internal teams to maximize value from technology investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or a related role.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Experience analyzing complex business processes and recommending solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

Job description

Connexus Energy is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to serve as the bridge between business needs and technology solutions. In this role, you'll partner with stakeholders across the organization to analyze business challenges, improve processes, and implement technology solutions that drive operational excellence. Lead software upgrades and enhancement projects, troubleshoot and resolve application issues, document and improve business processes, and collaborate closely with software vendors and internal technology teams. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, improving how work gets done, and helping organizations maximize the value of their technology investments.

Compensation

The expected hiring range is between $88,900 - $116,655. The final compensation offered is based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience and skill level. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 8% based on company performance.

In this position, you will:

Lead Technology Projects & System Enhancements

• Lead software upgrades, enhancements, and new technology initiatives.
• Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process and system improvements.

Support Business Applications

• Investigate and resolve application issues to maintain system reliability and data integrity.
• Collaborate with technical teams, business users, and software vendors to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Evaluate software patches, fixes, and new functionality.
• Create and maintain reports that provide users with meaningful business insights.

Analyze and Improve Business Processes

• Facilitate requirements gathering and process‑mapping sessions with business teams.
• Document current and future‑state business processes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance user experience.
• Develop clear documentation for process improvements and system changes.

Build Expertise and Partnerships

• Develop deep knowledge of supported business applications and related business processes.
• Build strong relationships with software vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Provide system configuration recommendations and support ongoing application optimization.
• Stay current on technology trends, product roadmaps, and industry best practices.

Need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or a related role.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Experience analyzing complex business processes and recommending solutions.

Nice to have:

• Experience working within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with business process mapping and workflow documentation.
• Experience with construction management or field service applications.

• Knowledge of relational databases.

• Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, and SharePoint Online.
• Project management experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise business applications and working directly with software vendors.
