Compunnel Inc. in Long Beach, CA seeks a Business Systems Analyst to bridge business and IT teams for the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS). You will help evolve asset lifecycle management and enable predictive maintenance, asset analytics, and Digital Twin initiatives.

You will support VUEWorks implementations, gather requirements, design workflows, ensure regulatory alignment, and drive data governance and integration testing across stakeholders.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, MIS, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 6-10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Strong domain expertise in Enterprise Asset Management Systems.
• Experience with EAM/CMMS or infrastructure asset management solutions.
• Knowledge of ISO 55000 asset management principles.
• Experience translating business requirements into functional specs and workflows.
• Familiarity with enterprise system integrations, APIs, and data management concepts.
• Experience supporting integration testing and UAT; leading requirements phases for large system implementations.

Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst will serve as a key liaison between business and technology teams to support the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing evolution of an Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS). The role requires specialized expertise in Enterprise Asset Management and will bridge business operations, technology, and data to support effective asset lifecycle management. This position will also help establish capabilities that support future initiatives such as predictive maintenance, asset analytics, smart infrastructure, and Digital Twin technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, enhancement, and adoption of the Enterprise Asset Management System (VUEWorks).
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into system workflows, configurations, and functional specifications.
• Ensure business, operational, and regulatory requirements are accurately reflected within the EAMS platform.
• Develop and maintain asset lifecycle management processes and standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Program Management, Project Control, Maintenance, Finance, Real Estate, Information Management, and other business functions.
• Facilitate requirements gathering, requirements validation, process reviews, and solution discussions.
• Lead requirements activities for large or complex system implementations and integrations.
• Support business process improvement initiatives related to asset management and infrastructure lifecycle planning.
• Coordinate and support integration activities between VUEWorks and other enterprise systems.
• Document data flows, integration requirements, system interfaces, and business rules.
• Support data quality, data governance, and asset information management initiatives.
• Develop integration testing strategies, test plans, and related testing documentation.
• Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect resolution activities.
• Collaborate with business users, vendors, and project teams to validate system functionality and business processes.
• Support training, knowledge transfer, and organizational change management activities.
• Support the development of asset information capabilities for future Digital Twin initiatives.
• Assist in defining technology roadmaps, data requirements, and integration strategies supporting smart infrastructure and digital asset management.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Technology Strategy teams to align asset management initiatives with long-term technology objectives.
• Facilitate alignment between business and technical stakeholders throughout the system development and implementation lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a closely related field.
• 6-10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role.
• Strong domain expertise in Enterprise Asset Management Systems.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), or infrastructure asset management solutions.
• Knowledge of ISO 55000 asset management principles and practices.
• Understanding of business analysis, process mapping, requirements gathering, and workflow design.
• Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications, system workflows, and configurations.
• Familiarity with enterprise system integrations, APIs, and data management concepts.
• Experience supporting integration testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Proven experience leading requirements phases for large or complex system implementations or integrations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across business and technical teams.
• Deep understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of GIS, BIM, SCADA, ERP, financial systems, or related operational technologies.
• Strong data analysis skills, including experience with SQL, reporting tools, or data visualization platforms.
• Experience working in Agile or product-centric delivery models.
• Experience mentoring or leading other analysts.

Certifications

• IAM certification with domain expertise in ISO 55000.
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar Business Analysis certifications are preferred.
