Job summary

SDL Tech Search is seeking an experienced Business Systems professional to support partnership accounting, reporting, and data leadership within a global investment organization. You will collaborate with finance, operations, and technology teams to deliver scalable solutions across Investran, eFront, LemonEdge, Tableau, and Power BI.

You will own the product roadmap for Investran, drive process improvements, and partner with senior stakeholders to enhance platform capabilities and reporting

This is a direct-hire role. C2C, C2H or any other contract model will not be considered.

This role is part of our client's Private Markets and Corporate Technology organization, supporting Private Equity, Growth & Venture, Real Assets, and firmwide platform services. The position is centered on the technology, data, and operational processes that underpin partnership accounting, fund administration reporting, and business intelligence capabilities across the organization.

The successful candidate will combine strong business and technical expertise to partner with finance, operations, and technology stakeholders in delivering scalable solutions that support partnership accounting platforms such as Investran, eFront, and LemonEdge, as well as reporting and analytics environments including Tableau and Power BI. Working closely with business users, software vendors, developers, and quality assurance teams, this individual will play a key role in enhancing system capabilities, improving data quality, and driving operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead business requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design documentation, testing, and implementation activities for partnership accounting and reporting initiatives supporting global private markets operations.
• Translate complex accounting, reporting, and data management requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes, automate manual workflows, and enhance capabilities across accounting platforms and reporting environments.
• Support data validation, reconciliation, quality assurance, and integrity between partnership accounting systems and downstream reporting, analytics, and data warehouse solutions.
• Serve as a functional expert in partnership accounting and investor reporting, including fund performance calculations, management fee processing, carried interest reporting, capital activity reporting, ILPA reporting standards, financial statements, and investor-facing deliverables.
• Maintain deep expertise in existing and upcoming Investran functionality, advising accounting and operations teams on best practices and feature utilization.
• Partner with finance and fund accounting teams to optimize investor accounting and reporting workflows, leveraging system enhancements, automation capabilities, and new product releases.
• Oversee integrations, custom developments, extensions, and third-party connectivity associated with Investran and related accounting platforms.
• Own product roadmap planning and lifecycle management for Investran, including platform upgrades, enhancement initiatives, and long-term strategic planning.
• Participate in the evaluation, design, and implementation of new integrations while supporting enhancements to existing technology platforms.
• Promote best practices in business analysis, product ownership, solution delivery, change management, and project governance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, product ownership, or technology delivery roles, preferably within private equity, alternative investments, or asset management environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting partnership accounting platforms such as Investran, eFront, LemonEdge, or comparable solutions.
• Strong experience working with reporting and business intelligence technologies, including Tableau, Power BI, dashboard development, and data modeling.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent initiatives and delivering business-critical technology solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively partner with both technical teams and business leadership.
• Experience operating within Agile, Scrum, or other iterative delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proven capacity to convert complex business requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data analysis techniques; experience with Python or other scripting languages is advantageous.
• Understanding of data integration, ETL processes, data pipeline architectures, and orchestration technologies.
• Experience evaluating, implementing, or supporting AI-enabled capabilities designed to improve operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and business processes is preferred.
