Job summary

Peoples Security Bank & Trust Company is seeking a Business Systems Administrator in Moosic, PA to manage the core banking platform and automate workflows across branches and back-office teams.

  • Administer workflow engines for account opening, loan processing, and other processes.
  • Design, configure, and optimize automated workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor routing, approvals, and system integrations.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Maintain documentation and version control for workflow changes.
  • Provide Tier 2 support and train employees on system functionality.
  • Communicate system changes, outages, and updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong access controls and audit trails; support audits with system data.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks related to system configuration or performance.
  • Represent the Bank in public relations and community activities.

General Responsibilities

The Business Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of the organization’s core banking system, in branch processing solutions, and workflow automation platforms. This role ensures that critical operational systems run reliably and efficiently, enabling smooth daily operations across branches and back-office departments. The position partners with IT, operations, and vendors to resolve issues, implement enhancements, and optimize processes that improve service delivery and organizational performance.

Essential Duties
Core Banking System Administration
  • Manage daily operations, configuration, and maintenance of the core banking platform
  • Oversee system updates, patches, and vendor driven enhancements
  • Maintain user access, permissions, and security controls
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements
Workflow & Automation Platforms
  • Administer workflow engines used for account opening, loan processing, exception handling, and other operational processes
  • Design, configure, and optimize automated workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
  • Monitor routing, approvals, and system integrations to ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate with business units to identify process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Maintain documentation and version control for workflow changes
User Support & Training
  • Provide Tier 2 support for system issues escalated from operations or IT
  • Train employees on system functionality, new features, and best practices
  • Communicate system changes, outages, and updates to stakeholders
Security, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Maintain strong access controls and audit trails across all platforms
  • Support internal and external audits with system data and documentation
  • Ensure systems comply with regulatory standards and internal policies
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks related to system configuration or performance
Ancillary Duties
  • Actively represents the Bank in public relations and other related community activities.
  • Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.

Requirements
Education/Training:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical training or coursework in information systems, workflow automation, or banking operations preferred.
Skill(s):
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows and system administration
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with technology platforms, system configuration, and user support
  • Ability to collaborate with IT, operations, and external vendors
  • Knowledge of security controls, access management, and compliance standards
Experience:
  • Experience administering core banking systems, financial operations software, or similar enterprise platforms
  • Experience supporting workflow automation tools (BPM, LOS, account opening systems) preferred
  • Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, or data extraction helpful
  • Prior experience in a financial institution or fintech environment preferred
