Purpose:
Focus on the ongoing administration, support, optimization, and governance of enterprise business applications across a multi-site healthcare environment. This role serves as a key liaison between IT and business teams, helping ensure applications are effectively managed, issues are routed to the appropriate resources, and system changes are evaluated with consideration for their broader operational impact.
This is not primarily a new system implementation, training, or deep technical configuration role. The focus is on application ownership, cross-functional coordination, problem solving, and continuous improvement within the existing technology environment.
Day to Day
- Administer and support business applications used across HR, Finance, Revenue Cycle, Operations, and other departments.
- Serve as the primary IT point of contact for assigned applications and help coordinate application-related issues, enhancements, access, and support.
- Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand workflows, application usage, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
- Identify where application or process issues originate and coordinate with internal teams, vendors, or service providers to drive resolution.
- Evaluate application changes with consideration for downstream impacts across departments, workflows, security, reporting, and business operations.
- Establish and improve standards for application administration, user access, permissions, documentation, governance, and ongoing support.
- Take ownership of applications that may historically have been managed independently by individual business departments.
- Build dashboards, service views, and other tools that improve visibility into application support activities, priorities, and status.
- Support application implementations and upgrades as a business systems stakeholder, helping ensure areas such as access, security, integrations, workflows, and operational readiness are addressed.
- Maintain clear communication with business and executive stakeholders regarding issues, priorities, dependencies, timelines, and recommended next steps.
- Help build structure around application administration in an environment where formal processes and ownership models are continuing to mature.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience supporting, administering, or managing enterprise business applications in a production environment.
- Experience working with SaaS and business platforms such as HRIS, ERP, EHR, finance, revenue cycle, workflow, or operational systems.
- Healthcare industry experience with a working understanding of revenue cycle processes, including patient billing, claims, payments, reimbursements, and remittance workflows.
- Strong understanding of how system and process changes can impact multiple business functions, including Revenue Cycle, Finance, HR, Operations, and patient-facing teams.
- Ability to independently manage application responsibilities including access, permissions, troubleshooting, documentation, vendor coordination, reporting, and ongoing optimization.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify where an issue resides, determine the appropriate resource, and ask the right questions to move the issue toward resolution.
- Experience partnering directly with business leaders and functional teams to understand application needs, workflows, and operational requirements.
- Ability to organize and sequence work across multiple applications, stakeholders, and competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize complex issues, provide clear recommendations, and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.
- Experience building and standardizing application administration and governance processes in environments where formal procedures may still be developing.
- Ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision and maintain clear visibility into project, application, and support status.
- Working knowledge of application security, role‑based access, least‑privilege principles, and privacy requirements within a healthcare environment.
- Experience with Monday.com, Jira, Microsoft tools, NetSuite, HRIS platforms, or comparable enterprise applications is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting multi‑site healthcare, physician practice, ASC, dental, vision, or similar healthcare organizations is preferred.
