Business System Analyst (Remote - NYC/Burlingame, CA)

We are seeking a Business System Analyst on a contract basis to support our customer’s business needs. This role is remote in NYC or Burlingame, CA.

This role manages the day-to-day operations of the support demand planning application. The ideal candidate will provide Level 1 (L1) support, triage support requests, train users on application usage, and collaborate with application providers to resolve user issues. It requires understanding supply chain systems and processes, as well as querying databases using SQL. The Analyst will work with users both in person and remotely, so self-starting abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the support demand planning application, ensuring smooth functionality and user satisfaction.
• Provide L1 support and triage support requests for timely resolution of user issues.
• Train users on effective application use to enhance understanding and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the application provider to resolve complex issues and improve performance.
• Understand supply chain systems and processes to provide informed support and insights.
• Write SQL statements to query databases supporting data-driven decision-making.
• Work with users both in person and remotely, adapting communication as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, information systems, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in demand planning.
• Experience working in demand planning environments as a planner or systems analyst.
• Experience with demand planning tools.
• Proven experience in application support or similar roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks with ambiguity.

Preferred

• Familiarity with supply chain systems and processes.
• Experience in training and user support.
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration abilities.
