Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a Staff Assistant II for the Sleep Disorders Center. The role involves answering calls, scheduling intake and follow-up appointments, and coordinating overnight sleep testing in coordination with physicians.

At Stony Brook Medicine the Business Support Assistant in our Sleep Disorders Center functions as resource to patients by answering calls, scheduling Sleep Disorders Center intake and follow up physician appointments, as well as scheduling overnight Sleep Disorders testing. The Staff Assistant supports the physician staff members by confirming appointments and managing physician schedules. The Staff Assistant must have excellent communication skills. The Staff Assistant will need a working knowledge of insurance requirements and approval procedures to correctly manage patient appointments.

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position is $45,372 - $58,366 / year. The above salary range represents SBUH’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate’s validated years of comparable experience. Any efforts to inflate or misrepresent experience are grounds for disqualification from the application process or termination of employment if hired.
