Primary Job Responsibilities
- Provide expert consulting on business systems, upgrades, migrations, data services, and third-party API integrations to align technology with client business models.
- Lead end-to-end analysis and optimization of business processes, ensuring scalable and efficient DMS system configurations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on best practices, financial systems, and compliance, with a strong preference for accounting expertise.
- Independently analyze client accounting workflows, aligning ERP configurations with financial requirements to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage medium to large-scale projects, including scope creation, data mapping, and workflow design, with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, communicating effectively with internal teams and clients to ensure project milestones and timelines are met.
- Prepare detailed project documentation, including status reports, recaps, and visit summaries for client engagements.
- Contribute to department best practices, knowledge sharing, and process improvements to enhance the Professional Services offering.
- Lead and participate in cross-department training, fostering a culture of continuous learning and teamwork.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to internal stakeholders, offering consultative support to enhance service delivery.
- Engage directly with clients to deliver tailored solutions and maintain strong, long-term relationships.
Desired Qualifications/Skills
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience with a business system, such as ERP or DMS (Dealer Management Software), including system design, consulting, and/or data processing activities; full implementation life cycle experience preferred.
- 3–4 years’ experience in a systems analyst or project management implementation role preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration) preferred, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Business accounting background strongly preferred.
- Beginner-level ability to view and modify direct SQL queries from SQL Management Studio, with basic SQL scripting preferred.
- Technically savvy and eager to expand on their technical knowledge as it relates to the position.
- Beginner-intermediate level proficiency in SQL with ability to view, modify and create beginner level SQL queries from SQL Management Studio.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit at a desk, computer terminal or meeting table for a long period of time.
- Ability to use hands and fingers or adoptive equipment to safely operate assigned equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to use telephone frequently for a long period of time, and to hear and speak clearly by telephone.

Location and Compensation
This is a hybrid-remote role; candidates based in San Diego county are expected to work a minimum of one day per week in the office, those residing outside of San Diego county will be considered fully remote. The salary range for this role is $86,000 to $105,000 per year, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
