Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is a leading workforce development provider seeking a Business Outreach Consultant in New Jersey. You will engage local employers, promote services like recruitment, OJT, and events, and customize solutions to each employer.

The role requires relationship-building across WorkSource teams and delivering impactful trainings and presentations. You’ll also help monitor program performance, assist with staff training, and ensure compliance with policies while traveling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Familiarity with area businesses preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of account management practices for large and small businesses.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and partners.
• Ability to facilitate trainings, presentations and workgroups.
• Excellent communication, writing and computer skills; proficient with MS Office.
• Experience working with leadership at all levels; teamwork and independence.
• Willingness to travel locally and work flexible mornings/evenings.
• Valid driver’s license for local travel to meetings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a consultant for local business community and high-growth industries.
• Promote WorkSource services such as talent recruitment, OJT, events, testing, and funds tracking.
• Develop relationships with businesses and engage them in services.
• Partner with WorkSource staff to provide quality services to businesses.
• Share industry workforce knowledge with staff to meet workforce goals.
• Deliver WorkSource presentations and training to businesses and job seekers.
• Assist with training new staff on software, projects and development.
• Track performance related to trainings and funding; monitor training funds.
• Develop SOPs with supervisors and operations manager.
• Quality check training documents to ensure data integrity.
• Follow all Federal, State and Local policies; drive team performance.
• Work on other projects as assigned.
