Job summary

PURE Insurance seeks a Business Rules Manager to own the Sapiens Decision platform for underwriting. You will work with underwriting, product, and IT to draft and govern rules, ensure clarity, and drive rollout success.

You’ll balance strategic rule logic with detailed rule language, manage UAT, monitor performance, and develop use cases across lines of business. A Bachelor’s degree is required and 5 years in P&C underwriting is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in P&C insurance underwriting or related functions.
• Ability to operate at strategic and granular levels for rule development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; precise rule language.
• Experience partnering with IT, analytics, and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Own the Sapiens Decision platform for underwriting rules, adoption, and rollout.
• Draft rules with SMEs to ensure clear, consistent language and outcomes.
• Strategically connect rules across states and lines of business.
• Set roadmaps and balance immediate needs with long-term potential.
• Monitor rule performance with analytics and quantify impact.
• Manage UAT for new/changed rules with evidence-based sign-off.
• Serve as liaison to IT through design, build, and release.
• Build relationships with underwriters and gather feedback.
• Manage multiple rule initiatives with prioritization and deadlines.
• Identify new use cases for the platform across functions.
