Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with two years of related experience or Master’s degree with one year related experience.
• Knowledge of real estate market research, economic development programs and City activities.
• Ability to analyze and explain statistical information to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a strategy for the City’s business retention efforts.
• Interacts with businesses and developers to understand challenges and connect them to resources.
• Produces data reports and statistical summaries for the City’s economic profile.
• Maintains knowledge of economic development programs and tools and applies them for businesses.
• Creates external communications and marketing materials describing division activities.
• Represents the office at community meetings and with state/local partners.
• Serves as liaison to other City departments to improve efficiency and transparency.
• Identifies redevelopment opportunities and participates in planning processes.
• Develops presentations on the division and Marietta’s economy.
• Supports recruitment of utility customers with the Economic Development team.
