The Opportunity

As R&D Engineering Team Lead, you will build and guide a newly established R&D team in Alamo, playing a key role in advancing bushing technologies that power reliable energy systems worldwide. This is a unique chance to shape the direction of local R&D while contributing to global product roadmaps, working closely with colleagues across engineering, manufacturing, laboratories, and Hitachi Research Centers.

You will balance people leadership and hands‑on technical contribution, creating an environment where curiosity, safety, and high performance thrive. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and inter‑nal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Build and lead a new R&D team in Alamo supporting global bushing R&D
• Guide R&D projects to successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
• Support and develop team members through coaching and performance management
• Provide technical guidance throughout project execution
• Collaborate with planning, production, and laboratory teams on prototype execution
• Monitor project costs and provide regular status and cost reports
• Foster innovation and contribution to product roadmaps
• Collaborate globally with R&D teams, factories, and engineering partners

Your background

• Master’s degree or higher in engineering or applied sciences
• More than 5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in the energy sector
• Experience with project management and multi‑year projects
• Strong leadership and people development capabilities
• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict‑resolution skills
• Fluency in English
