Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior .NET-focused software professional in the United States (Maine) to design, develop, test, and maintain complex applications. You will work with SQL databases, RESTful APIs, and cloud services (Azure/AWS) in an Agile environment, collaborating with users and teams to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate brings strong C#/.NET skills, experience across the full stack, and a proactive approach to documentation, testing, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience is required.
• 4+ years' experience in business or financial analysis, management reporting, or related work experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex applications.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Hands-on experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem, including .NET Core, .NET Framework, and ASP.NET.
• Experience with SQL, including Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Familiarity with Entity Framework or other ORM frameworks.
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and Web APIs.
• Proficiency with Git and version-control platforms.
• Experience with Azure or AWS for hosting, CI/CD, and cloud-based services.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfort with Windows Server environments and IIS
• Experience with Linux, including SUSE, Ubuntu, or RHEL
• Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and security best practices
• Ability to manipulate PDF, JPEG, and AFP file formats programmatically
• Experience with iTextSharp, ImageMagick, or Ghostscript

Responsibilities
