Job summary

Shoppa’s Material Handling is seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to understand, analyze, and optimize end-to-end processes across all departments. You will translate business requirements into developer-ready specifications, drive system integrations and API data exchanges, and lead testing and cutovers to reduce manual work and improve accuracy.

• Experience translating business requirements into clear technical requirements, specifications, data mappings, or test plans.

Responsibilities

• Assess current-state processes end to end across all departments and cycles, identifying breakdowns, manual touchpoints, and control gaps.
• Serve as the primary process and systems liaison with major suppliers, lenders, and third-party financing partners.
• Diagnose root causes behind process failures and propose solutions the owning department can adopt.
• Define data requirements and translate business processes into developer-ready specifications.
• Evaluate and pursue systems integration and API-based data exchange wherever available, and lead testing, validation, and cutover.
• Drive approved changes into production, including documentation, standard work, and training.

Assesses current-state workflows, identifies breakdowns where transaction volume, data quality, or reconciliation gaps create financial and operational risk, proposes the fix, and drives it through to implementation with the department that owns the work. Owns how processes function rather than processing the transactions. Acts as the translation layer between the business and IT: defines data requirements, evaluates back-end and integration options, and converts business requirements into developer-ready specifications without writing the code. Pursues systems integration and API-based data exchange wherever available so high-volume transactions are handled in an organized, repeatable, and auditable way.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:• Assess current-state processes end to end across all departments and cycles, identifying breakdowns, manual touchpoints, and control gaps.• Serve as the primary process and systems liaison with major suppliers, lenders, and third-party financing partners.• Diagnose root causes behind process failures and propose solutions the owning department can adopt.• Define data requirements and translate business processes into developer-ready specifications, including data mappings, field-level definitions, API contracts, exception handling rules, and test plans.• Evaluate and pursue systems integration and API-based data exchange wherever available, and lead testing, validation, and cutover.• Drive approved changes into production, including documentation, standard work, and training that make redesigned processes stick.• Lead recurring process reviews with department leadership to surface breakdowns early.• Review open exception and aged-item queues on a fixed cadence and drive them to closure.• Assess and prioritize manual, high-volume, or error-prone touchpoints for redesign, automation, or system integration.• Evaluate supplier, lender, and system changes for impact before they take effect.• Serve as the primary process and systems contact for major supplier, lender, and financing partner programs.• Reduce manual effort and rework across high-volume transaction cycles and improve process accuracy.QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.• 3–5 years of experience in business process analysis, systems analysis, finance operations, or a related analytical role.• Experience analyzing workflows, identifying process gaps, and developing practical process improvements.• Experience translating business requirements into clear technical requirements, specifications, data mappings, or test plans.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.• Experience working with business systems, integrations, APIs, or ERP/CRM platforms preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:The physical demands and working conditions requirement indicated below are examples of the demands that must be performed in carrying out the essential job functions.Physical Demands:Office employees typically sit for long periods and perform tasks that require fine motor skills, such as typing or using a mouse.
