Job summary

Jobtailor, based in Washington, DC, seeks a seasoned professional to provide consulting expertise in business and operational process change and improvement. You will deliver process-engineering support to production activities and plant projects to enhance operations and system performance.

The role requires analyzing existing processes, integrating new processes with current systems, and communicating changes to Business Systems teams.

Qualifications

  • Level 2: 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors; 0 years with Masters; or HS Diploma and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Level 3: 5 years relevant with Bachelors; 3 years with Masters; 0 with PhD/JD; or HS Diploma and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Level 4: 9 years relevant with Bachelors; 7 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD/JD; or HS Diploma and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in business process consulting, operational improvement, or process re-engineering.
  • Strong understanding of process-engineering principles and experience supporting production or plant operations.
  • Experience modeling business processes using structured methodologies and tools (e.g., use-case scenarios, process modeling frameworks).
  • Ability to integrate business processes with data and system architecture requirements.
  • Familiarity with supply chain analysis, cost-reduction strategies, and operational performance improvement.
  • Knowledge of quality-improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, ISO 9004, Lean, or similar frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to evaluate complex processes and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey process changes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate across business units and drive change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
