Qualifications

  • Experience with process mapping, process improvement, and risk and control identification and assessment.
  • Comprehensive understanding and application of project management methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience managing risks, controls, regulatory requirements, and governance processes.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics tools to monitor performance and drive business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • US military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse/domestic partner.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, or related continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end business processes, including strategy, design, performance management, controls, risks, dependencies, and continuous improvement to achieve business and customer outcomes.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of initiatives that enhance capabilities, improve operational performance, and support association objectives.
  • Partner with business, technology, risk, compliance, and operational stakeholders to define requirements, align priorities, resolve issues, and deliver sustainable solutions.
  • Establish and monitor process performance through data, analytics, controls, key performance indicators, and governance frameworks to drive informed decision-making and accountability.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, regulatory, compliance, and delivery risks while ensuring adherence to association policies, standards, and risk management practices.
  • Drive organizational change, stakeholder engagement, and communication strategies that support adoption, sustainment, and realization of business value from process initiatives.

Job description

This role is responsible for optimizing business processes and delivering initiatives that drive business objectives and overall performance. The Senior Project Manager serves to plan, direct, and coordinate the activities required to define, improve, implement, and sustain complex business processes and organizational capabilities.


The selected candidate will maintain accountability for end-to-end process health, including operating objectives, business rules, performance measures, risks, controls, customer experience outcomes, and dependencies across interconnected processes. Simultaneously, this individual will facilitate and drive the execution of strategic initiatives and work efforts that enable business transformation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.


Working across business, technology, risk, compliance, and operational teams, this individual will align process strategy with association goals, drive change adoption, mitigate risk, and ensure successful delivery of measurable business outcomes.


Top Skills Required


  • 6+ years of experience in business process management, process engineering, process optimization, program management, project management, consulting, operational excellence, or related disciplines.

  • Knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance operations, workflows, and associated business processes.

  • Experience developing business cases, requirements, implementation plans, and benefits realization frameworks.
