Job summary

CACI is hiring a Business Process Engineer in Maryland to serve as Scrum Master for a cross-functional team and drive enterprise-wide integration of engineering efforts.

You will facilitate agile cadences, coach on Scrum, and lead process modernization leveraging Six Sigma/Lean principles to deliver secure, compliant capabilities for government programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business.
  • 7 years of experience conducting BPR activities.
  • 5+ years as Scrum Master for software development teams.
  • Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in government contracting environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Remove impediments to enable team productivity.
  • Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Track and communicate team metrics (velocity, burndown, sprint health).
  • Shield the team from external interruptions and scope creep.
  • Drive continuous improvement and self-organization within the team.
  • Apply process improvement and engineering methodologies to modernization projects.
  • Assist Government with transitioning project teams and facilitating activities.
  • Coordinate between multiple project teams for enterprise-wide reengineering.
  • Document and track initiatives and epics to drive completion.
  • Define, implement, and maintain business processes to meet objectives.
  • Analyze opportunities for business process improvements and develop initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and company standards.
  • Collaborate with customers and developers on integration of business processes.
  • Use best practices for business process analysis, re-engineering, measurements and change management.

CACI has an immediate need for a Business Process Engineer to join our mission-critical program. You'll help build an intelligent cyber resilience platform that manages system security authorizations, tracks compliance, and proactively addresses enterprise risk.

The Opportunity:

As the Business Process Engineer, you will serve as the Scrum Master and coordinator for a cross functional technical team to ensure enterprise-wide integration of engineering efforts by conducting daily scrum meetings and hosting sprint planning and other agile methodology cadences.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Remove impediments and blockers to enable team productivity
  • Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum principles and practices
  • Track and communicate team metrics (velocity, burndown, sprint health)

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team self-organization
  • Apply Process improvement and Engineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects.
  • Assist the Government with the transitioning of existing project teams and the facilitation of project teams in the accomplishment project activities and objectives.
  • Serves as key coordinator between multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of reengineering efforts.
  • Document and track initiatives and epics to assist in driving them to completion
  • Define, implement, and maintain business processes and procedures to meet business objectives.
  • Analyze and identify opportunities for business process improvements.
  • Develop initiatives for continuous business process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and company proposed standards.
  • Work with customer and developers in integration of new and existing business processes.
  • Use best practices to carry out business process analysis, re-engineering, process measurements and change management activities.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify business requirements, processes and risks.
  • Evaluate current business processes and recommend solutions for improvements.
  • Develop and maintain best practices to meet changing business needs.
  • Execute projects for ongoing business improvements.
  • Provide technical advice on processing technology, capability, risks, and costs.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business discipline.
  • 7 years’ experience conducting BPR activities is required.
  • 5+ years serving as Scrum Master for software development teams (i.e., utilizing Process Improvement methodologies (e.g., Agile technologies, Six Sigma) for GOT integration programs is required.
  • Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience in government contracting environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly

Desired :

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification
  • Advanced Scrum certifications (CSP-SM, SAFe, PSM II)
  • Experience with Scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS)
  • PMP or other project management certifications
  • DevOps/CI-CD pipeline knowledge
  • Experience with business process reengineering methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean)
  • Experience supporting federal agencies

The proposed salary range for this position is:
