Job summary

City of Cleveland is seeking a Business Process Specialist to support data analysis, process mapping, and reporting across multiple departments. This on-site role emphasizes data-driven process improvements and ensuring performance metrics align with program goals.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, strong analytical skills, and experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and financial systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Public Administration, Operations Research and Supply Chain Management, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university is required.
• Equivalent of two years of full-time paid experience or one year of educational internships in Business Analytics, Data Mining, and Process Mapping.
• Must have experience with project management methodologies and process improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma).

Responsibilities

• Assist with data analysis and reporting across departments.
• Support business process mapping, workflow analysis, and documentation.
• Prepare process improvement recommendations using maps and templates.
• Contribute to system deployment preparations including data preparation and user training.
• Develop ad-hoc reports and cost-benefit analyses as needed.
