Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience in asset management, insurance investment, banking, or consulting to these industries.
• Strong experience with business process mapping and documentation.
• Experience creating swimlane and cross-functional process flows that were implemented in production.
• Proven experience writing operating procedures, desk procedures, or playbooks used by business/operations teams.
• Strong requirements elicitation and stakeholder interview skills.
• Proficiency with Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent process mapping tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams while meeting fixed deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Map end-to-end business processes, including handoffs between internal teams and third-party fund administrators.
• Create swimlane and cross-functional process flows, capturing controls, handoffs, exceptions, ownership, and system touchpoints.
• Develop and maintain operating procedures, desk procedures, and playbooks.
• Ensure documentation is consistent in structure, terminology, and templates across multiple workstreams.
• Maintain version control and operational deliverable tracking.
• Capture requirements, decisions, open questions, and action items from working sessions.
• Support RACI and service-level definition development.
• Prepare materials for working groups and program reviews.
• Facilitate and document workshops with operations, finance, data, and technology stakeholders.
• Track open items and identify risks impacting operational readiness and launch timelines.
• Help document data requirements and lineage for reporting, compliance, waterfall testing, and rating agency activities.

Business Analyst – Process Design & Documentation

Work Model: Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite

Duration: Approximately 6 months, with possible extension

We are seeking a Business Analyst – Process Design & Documentation to support Project CLASS, a rated note fund launch within a leading investment management organization.

This role will support the Business Transformation / Strategy & Execution team in preparing operational processes and documentation for a new fund launch. The analyst will work closely with operations, finance, data, and technology teams across multiple workstreams to map processes, document procedures, capture requirements, and maintain project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Map new and changed end-to-end business processes, including handoffs between internal teams and third-party fund administrators.
• Create swimlane and cross-functional process flows, capturing controls, handoffs, exceptions, ownership, and system touchpoints.
• Develop and maintain operating procedures, desk procedures, and playbooks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Investment operations experience involving loans, private credit, fund administration, IBOR, or ABOR.
• Experience working with fund administrators, custodians, or transfer agents.
• Experience supporting a fund launch or platform implementation with a fixed go-live date.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar program management tools.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini for documentation drafting and information synthesis.
